The Seymour Road project involved transforming a 1997 Tudor-style detached house in Wimbledon through a hip-to-gable loft conversion. Our studio created two new en-suite bedrooms, each with dedicated study areas, to free up the first floor for visiting grandparents and to support the clients’ daughters as they transition into university life.
The design features include a bespoke “Peter Pan Window” reading nook, carefully detailed joinery, and a mix of antique and integrated desks. Two bathrooms were tailored with distinct characters: one with a freestanding bathtub, ribbed tile niches, and gold fixtures; the other with floral patterned tiles, terrazzo finishes, and a mid-century timber vanity.
Sustainability was a priority, with PV solar panels installed on the roof, insulation upgrades, and the specification of low-VOC materials. Coordination was carried out in Revit, ensuring planning compliance, structural clarity, and detailed lighting design. Planning permission was supported through precedent studies, contextual analysis, and a delegated officer report.
The project was completed through close collaboration with trusted engineers, contractors, and a lighting designer, delivering a highly personalised home extension that enhances both function and family life.
